COVID ended the 2020 season early throughout the State but as things progress quickly for the 2021 high school season, it’s time for us to preview teams from around the State in the Yearly Preseason Preview. Schedules are being adapted to fit the ever-changing landscape and though this season may look different than history has shown us, coaches/staff, players, families, and our team are preparing for 2021 to be as successful as possible.
We’ve submitted the Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state and their responses have been flooding in. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be using their detailed insight on our team-by-team previews ahead of the 2021 season leading into the California Power 25 Rankings.

SEASON OUTLOOK:
The Edison Tigers will be bringing in a very young team for 2021, but Coach Rold has the experience after 29 years to bring this group together to be ready for the always tough CMAC conference. Coach Rold likes the talent his Tigers will bring especially on the defensive side of the ball where he believes they can really pick it. The top of the lineup will be young and talented expecting to get on base to create runs for the young pitching staff. As the young staff experiences the game more and more, the Tigers believe they can make big leaps and that this team can come together with a willingness to compete. The CMAC is as tough as they come in the Central Section but with a young and athletic team, the Edison Tigers could be one of the better Division 2 teams over the next years.
