Earlier this year, one of the top 2018s became available on the recruiting market when RHP Cole Winn (Silver Creek HS, CO) de-committed from Notre Dame. He’s now off again as the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder committed to Mississippi State this week. At the Colorado Preseason All-State Showcase, Winn pitched at 90-93 mph and showed his usual wipeout slider.

At another Preseason All-State event, this one in Illinois, 2018 LHP Danny Zimmerman (Lincoln-Way East HS, IL) showed a spike in velocity and sat 89-91, touching 92, with his fastball. Within a few days of the event, he committed to Louisville.
