The #17 Spruce Creek Hawks (Class 7A, Region 1) enter the Preseason Power 25 as a Central Florida powerhouse with unfinished business after a dominant 30-4 2025 season that saw them claim District Champions honors. They advanced deep into the playoffs but fell heartbreakingly in the Region 1-7A finals to Hagerty in a best-of-three series, ending a strong run despite talent and experience. The Hawks return a loaded junior class (8 of the top 10 position players and 4 of the top 6 arms are juniors) plus senior starters, setting up a program built for contention with a brutally tough schedule designed to prepare them for another title chase.

2025 Recap: Finished 30-4 overall (including a 19-game win streak at one point), dominating districts and pushing to the regional finals.

Key Departures: Garrett Grant, LJ Edwards, Tyler Boyesen, Nate Ricko, Devon Crown, Peyson Garcia, Lucas Badalato—solid contributors from the deep run.

Top Returners and Newcomers:

A junior-heavy core with college commits and rising talent, plus seniors anchoring the staff and lineup.

  • Top Returning Players:
    • (2026) Jordan Livingston - RHP (Jacksonville commit, 10-0 last year as #2)
    • (2026) Cooper West - LHP (Gulf Coast State commit, expected starter)
    • (2026) Mason Sanders - CF (Gulf Coast State commit, starter last year)
    • (2027) Seamus Moylan - C (Mizzou commit, starter since freshman, leader)
    • (2027) Justin Cronin - 3B (great all-around player, started as soph)
    • (2027) Evan Dyett - LHP (up to 91 mph, South Carolina commit)
    • (2027) Collin Strickland - OF (Army commit, middle-order bat)
    • (2027) Logan Hill - MIF/P (mid-80s arm, strong defender)
    • Others: Jathan DeHaven, Gavin Rape, Ryder Ritch, Luke Loeb, Morgan Corder, Drake Massey, Deacon Massey (talented juniors expected to contribute college-level play)

Projected Starting Pitchers: Jordan Livingston (RHP), Cooper West (LHP), third spot battle between Evan Dyett (LHP, SCar commit), Deacon Massey (6'4 RHP up to 88), or Logan Hill (mid-80s). Depth includes Brody Radwick (Soph LHP, 6'4 up to 88).

Projected Starting Lineup: 3B - Justin Cronin, CF - Mason Sanders, 1B - Morgan Corder (NWFS commit), C - Seamus Moylan, DH - Drake Massey, LF - Collin Strickland, RF - Luke Loeb, SS - Jathan DeHaven/Gavin Rape, 2B - Logan Hill (Sr. Jayden Medel at 1B/DH for depth).

Impact Underclassmen: Brody Radwick (Soph LHP, high-upside arm—could see varsity innings)

Team Outlook:

Strengths: Depth and pitching depth (loaded arms), strong junior class with experience from JV dominance (44-1 over two years).

Coach's Quote: "Our junior class is loaded, but most of them played JV for two years (went 44-1) because of the depth of our program. The schedule is very hard on purpose so they can experience the level they need to get to so we can contend for a state title again. Our seniors did a good job of leading in the fall, so the culture is good, just a matter of how we handle pressure and expectations. Hopefully, the experience pays off in the playoffs and next year. 8 of our top 10 position players are Jrs, and 4 of our top 6 arms are as well."

Standout Players:

  • Top Seniors (2026): Jordan Livingston (RHP, Jacksonville), Cooper West (LHP, Gulf Coast State), Mason Sanders (OF, Gulf Coast State), Jayden Medel (1B/DH).
  • Top Juniors (2027): Seamus Moylan (C, Mizzou), Justin Cronin (3B), Evan Dyett (LHP, South Carolina), Collin Strickland (OF, Army), Logan Hill (MIF/P), plus Jathan DeHaven, Gavin Rape, Ryder Ritch, Luke Loeb, Morgan Corder (NWFS), Drake Massey, Deacon Massey.

Key Games to Watch: One of the toughest schedules in the state: vs. Lake Mary, Lake Brantley, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Creekside, Timber Creek, First Academy, Jupiter, Park Vista, North Marion, Bartram Trail, West Orange, Deland (rival, expected to be strong this year).

At #15 in the Preseason Power 25, Spruce Creek boasts a junior-loaded roster with commits, pitching depth, and a killer schedule—poised to turn last year's regional heartbreak into a deep playoff run or state title contention in loaded Class 7A.
