Scouting Report
2/19/21
Physical: 5’8 17-lb C/RHP ran a 7.60 laser timed 60 yard dash. Thick frame has room to add more strength and quickness with time.
Offensively: He starts with a base just wider than shoulder width and uses a short hand load and a small leg lift as a timing mechanism. He has a slight pause at the peak of his hand load but he delivers the barrel aggressively on a rather flat plane into the hitting zone. He has an over exaggerated follow through that allows him to finish his swing.
Defensively: He receives from a new school, one knee down stance and works a free moving glove into the strike zone. He adjusts his body into a more traditional squatted stance when it comes time to throw to bases. He has a quick jump turn to line his body up and a short OTT arm swing delivering the ball to his target.
7/06/20
Physical: 5-foot-8, 165 pounds; strong, sturdy frame. 7.8 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even, shoulder width & upright stance; extended take back of hands at ear level with a small even stride. Effortless & strong lower half with direct swing path, aggressive swing with strong, quick hands. Pull side approach with some developing power; peak Trackman exit velocity of 92 MPH. Defensively: Low to the ground, square setup; soft hands receiving, quick footwork, accurate throws to 2nd base. Clean transfers; short arm swing, standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.08-2.14 pop times. C - 70 MPH.
