As the spring season begins, the Prep Baseball Kansas staff has once again updated the state’s 2025 rankings. We have a conservative update after our preseason showcase season. Notable changes to this rankings include a few risers and newcomers seen below.

Risers

Lane French OF / RHP / Hoisington, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 75 / POS: 17 The Dodge City commit jumps over 50 spots after showing huge improvements across the board on his measurables.

Braxton Madrigal RHP / 1B / Mulvane, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 65 / POS: 23 Madrigal has been the picture of projection throughout his high school career, and this preseason the Fort Hays State commit showed that he is starting to reach for that potential, getting into the upper 80s with plenty of room left. The 6-foot-6 righty is up 9 spots in this rankings.

Ulises Del Rosario OF / Life Prep, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 45 / POS: 8 The Life Prep product is up nearly 50 spots in this rankings after showing impressive improvements on both sides of the ball at the Wichita Preseason ID. A 7.05 60, 94 EV, and 92 OF velo are strong numbers on their own, but the two-way prospect also jumped on the mound and showed off a mid 80s fastball that he commanded. The uncommitted prospect is up nearly 50 spots in this update.

Jacob Doty RHP / 2B / Maize, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 91 / POS: 31 A solid two-way from Wichita, Doty shines brightest on the mound where he commands a mid-80s fastball and a high spin rate curveball. The uncommitted righty rises over 25 spots in this update.

 Newcomers

Francisco Arias C / Life Prep, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 51 / POS: 8 Our first look at Arias came at the Wichita Preseason ID and it was a good one. Arias enters our rankings one spot outside of the top 50 after showing some of the top defensive backstop skills in the state.

Braeden VanDonge C / 3B / Eudora, KS / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 105 / POS: 18 A physical two sport star, VanDonge enters our rankings just outside of the top 100. The small school product is likely a new name to many recruiters and is a must see for anyone looking to add a bat first '25 backstop.
