Kansas Class of 2026 Rankings Update: Winter Editon
March 28, 2025
As the spring season begins, the Prep Baseball Kansas staff has once again updated the state’s 2026 rankings. We have our biggest update to date after our loaded preseason showcase season. We saw over 200 talented juniors expanding our list from 200 to 250 players with the addition of over 60 names.
It is important to note in an update this large, there are players that may decline in total rank even with improvement and passing some peers simply due to the number of names added. For an in-depth look at how we put our rankings together, click HERE.
Notable changes to this rankings include a 13 prolific risers and seven newcomers in the top 100.

Zane Shaw RHP / C / Lawrence Free State, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 4
Up 8 spots in this rankings, the right-hander was electric and in complete control during his February ‘pen at the Engaged Athletics Scout Day. Shaw saw his FB hold at 92 mph and showed a much improved breaking ball. |

Grey Sanders RHP / 3B / Mulvane, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 5
Sanders made a big velo jump last year, but it is his increased command and repeatability that he showed at the MOKAN Preseason All-State that see him move up 13 spots in this edition of the rankings. |

Mac Solis SS / 3B / Shawnee Mission South, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 26 / POS: 6
Few players in the state made a physical transformation like Mac Solis. The left-side infielder showed much improved arm and barrel strength at the Prime and Precision Scout Day. Solis is up over 40 spots. |

Nick Poste RHP / 1B / Blue Valley West, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 8
The righty is up over 30 spots after seeing an increase not only in his velo, but command as well. Poste commanded the zone at 88-90 in his pen at the Prime and Precision Scout Day. |

Arthur Rolle OF / LHP / Life Prep, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 5
One of the top two-way players in the state, Rolle shows tools in every part of the game as a position player and then jumps on the mound with an athletic delivery and runs his fastball up to 87 from the left side. Roll is up over 60 spots after the Wichita Preseason ID. |

Kamden Dick OF / RHP / Mill Valley, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 43 / POS: 6
Back on the diamond, Kamden Dick did more than pick up where he left off with an impressive performance as a two-way at the KC Preseason ID, pushing his name up almost 20 spots. |

Kanoa Cobb 3B / RHP / Shawnee Mission Northwest, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 45 / POS: 5
Cobb made huge gains on both sides of the ball, but maybe more impressive than his 99 mph exit velo was the command of a FB up to 87 and a big breaking ball. |

Gavin Short OF / LHP / Maize, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 47 / POS: 7
An impressive left/left two-way player, Short sees his name move up 20 spots after showing speed, power, and velo improvements at the Wichita Preseason All-State. |

Nathan Young RHP / OF / Lawrence Free State, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 63 / POS: 19
The 6-foot-3 righty moves up 30 spots after adding velo up to 86 while maintaining high-end command and projectability at the MOKAN Preseason All-State. |

The 3/4 slot lefty is up 50 spots after showing a velo jump to his running and sinking fastball in the mid 80s and an improved slider. His 6-foot-3 and thin frame leave much more projection left. |

Up nearly 50 spots, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound catcher moves exceptionally well behind the dish and on the basepaths for his frame. Had an impressive overall showing at the Engaged Athletics Scout Day. |

Baker showed off a velo jump to 85 mph in his ‘pen at the MOKAN Preseason All-State. His loose and clean arm action promises more to come. Baker is up 50 spots. |

JJ Grove SS / OF / Wichita Northwest, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 84 / POS: 13
The athletic middle infielder gets better each time we see him. Strong defensive actions and explosive speed make him a high follow. Up over 30 spots. |

Hagen Warkins RHP / 3B / Haysville Campus, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 10
Warkins is one of the more physical prospects in the state, Warkins was impressive on both sides of the ball at the Wichita Preseason ID. On the mound, the 6-foot-3 205-righty showed he could command the zone with an upper 80s fastball and a near 12/6 curveball. |

Patrick Keehn RHP / OF / Andale, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 52 / POS: 16
The 6-foot-2 righty jumps into our rankings just outside of the top 50 after showing a fastball up to 86 at the Wichita Preseason ID. It's not just the frame and velo though, the ease of movement promises much more to come. |

Lincoln Jensen 3B / RHP / Goddard, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 58 / POS: 8
An uber physical two-way prospect, Jensen is more than capable on the offensive side of the ball, but shined brightest at the Wichita Preseason ID on the mound where he was into the upper 80s. |

Gabe Adams LHP / 1B / Kapaun Mt. Carmel, KS / 2026Rankings StateRank: 73 / POS: 7
The 6-foot-3 211-pound left-hander showed consistent tilt with fastball down in the zone. in the mid 80s at the Wichita Preseason ID. Adams could quickly rise up our list as he polishes his off speed offerings. |

Our first look at Shaw was an impressive one. The swift footed outfielder stepped into the box and barreled balls with a simple and efficient swing. The righty also got on the mound and showed a fastball up to 84. |

Thomas breaks into our rankings in the top 100 after showing a well rounded game at the KC Preseason ID. Thomas was a standout in both the outfield and behind the dish and delivered a solid round of BP. |

A capable two-way prospect, Jones shined brightest with the bat at the KC Preseason ID where he posted exit velos into the mid 90s. Jones showed off his arm strength on the mound, up to 84. |
