Week 2 of the 2024 high school baseball season is now complete, and our staff was able to get our and see several new teams. Today, we continue our coverage of the 2024 high school season with our Week 1 Scout Blog.  The Louisiana Scout Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from our scouting staff during the high school baseball season. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, draft prospects, and anything else that is notable.  We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocities, pop times, home to first times, and more.

SATURDAY MARCH 2, 2024

+ 2026 MIF Brody Hatchett (Mandeville HS)

The box score (0-2 with 2 RBI's) didn't indicate the impact that Hatchett had in the Skippers Saturday matchup against Harrison Central (MS).  The uncommitted sophomore had "team first" at-bats, in critical points early in the game, before Mandeville took a commanding lead.  Hatchett uses loose and rhythmic hands at the plate and gets into a strong hitting position, before delivering a whippy barrel through the zone.  He's also a solid defender on the infield as well.
