NCHSAA State Playoffs: 4A Round 1

Jordan HS jumped out to an early lead by scoring three runs in the top of the first inning, keyed by a 2 out double from Miller Young. Jordan added to the lead, plating two runs in the third, building a 5-1 lead.  

Ian Bailey lead the way for Jordan HS with six strong innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, and 8 strikeouts. Bailey also had two doubles, scored one run and had one rbi. Senior relief pitcher Elijah Crowley, closed out the game by striking out two in the bottom of the seventh. 

Jordan will advance to the 2nd round of the NCHSAA 4A Playoffs, playing at No. 1 seed New Hanover on Friday.
