Green Hope -- 4                Heritage -- 9

Game Recap:
On Thursday night, Heritage HS used a big sixth inning to break open a tie game and move into the NCHSAA 4A State Playoff’s 3^rd Round.  Green Hope jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the 1^st and extended their lead in the 5^th to 4-2.  Heritage would tie the game in the bottom of the 5^th and bust it open one inning later.

The Heritage 6^th opened with three singles to load the bases.  Hunter Zents would score on a wild pitch and Whit Kane delivered a single, driving in two.  With two outs in the inning, Cole Cunningham would put the game away with a single scoring Kane and Tyler Roy. 

The Heritage bullpen was very good on the night, working 6 innings, giving up 1 unearned run while striking out 7.  Jalen Hollins took over in the 2^nd, working 1.2 innings.  Effectively wild, he punched 2 and walked 3, giving way to Carson Hinnant.  Hinnant picked up the win throwing 4.1 innings.  He gave up 1 hit, walked 2 and struckout 5.

Heritage will move into the 3^rd round where they will face No. 1 seed in the east, New Bern HS.
