North Carolina Player of The Week - Part of Prep Baseball's Comprehensive Coverage

Throughout the 2025 North Carolina high school baseball season, Prep Baseball NC and its dedicated staff will provide extensive coverage of all aspects of the sport across the state. Our coverage will feature Inside the Box, a daily scoreboard, live scouting at high school games, a maintained Heat Sheet, and ongoing tracking of standout player performances.

Each week, our scouting staff will analyze box scores, consult with high school coaches, college recruiters, and professional scouts to select the Player and Pitcher of the Week. Coaches will have the opportunity to nominate players from their teams for consideration. The recipients of these awards will be announced every Tuesday throughout the spring season.

North Carolina Player of the Week: February 24 – March 1, 2025

Coming off a 2024 state championship, East Rowan enters the 2025 season with a younger roster but no shortage of talent. Leading the charge offensively is 2026 outfielder Harrison Ailshie, who helped propel the Mustangs to a strong 3–0 start in the opening week of play. The team’s offense was dominant, producing a total of 52 runs across three games.

Ailshie, a University of North Carolina commit, delivered an outstanding performance at the plate, recording four hits and posting a .571 batting average, including a double and two home runs. He also contributed six runs scored and seven RBIs.

In addition to his offensive contributions, Ailshie made an impact on the mound. He started one game and appeared in two, pitching a total of six innings while allowing only three hits and striking out 15 batters—all without surrendering an earned run.

For his exceptional performance, Harrison Ailshie has been named the Prep Baseball NC Player of the Week.
