Below, we turn our attention to 10 additional uncommitted prospects who continue to elevate their profiles through fall evaluations, in-game performance, and projectable tools. Each carries traits that college programs actively seek as they begin to shape future recruiting boards.

Top Uncommitted Players to Know

Lawson Copeland — RHP — Myers Park HS (2027)

Copeland brings a projectable right-handed frame with present arm strength and a clean delivery. He shows the ability to attack the zone with a fastball that comes out easily, while secondary pitches continue to develop. The foundation of velocity, strike-throwing, and physical upside gives him clear starter traits moving forward.

Michael Scaletta — LHP — Covenant Day (2027)

Scaletta is a left-handed arm with natural feel and athleticism. He works with a smooth tempo on the mound, creating angle and deception from the left side. The fastball plays with carry through the zone, and his ability to spin secondary offerings gives him a balanced, starter-style profile.

Parker Filipek — C/UTIL — TC Roberson HS (2027)

Filipek offers defensive versatility with the ability to contribute behind the plate and at multiple spots around the field. He shows reliable catch-and-throw actions as a catcher, while the bat works with a compact path and contact-driven approach. His adaptability adds real value for roster construction.

Charlie Beck — SS — Central Davidson HS (2027)

Beck profiles as a true middle-of-the-field defender with clean actions and instincts at shortstop. He shows soft hands, efficient footwork, and enough arm strength to stay on the left side. Offensively, the swing is balanced and line-drive oriented, projecting toward continued growth as strength develops.

Grant Helms — 1B — Hickory Ridge HS (2027)

Helms brings a physical corner bat with present strength and power potential. He shows the ability to drive the baseball with authority, particularly to the pull side, while maintaining a controlled approach in the box. Defensively, he offers a dependable presence at first base with solid hands.

Caleb Renn — LHP — Holly Springs HS (2027)

Renn is a left-handed pitcher with a repeatable delivery and an advanced feel for pitching. He shows comfort working both sides of the plate, with a fastball that plays effectively against hitters. There is an ability to manipulate his breaking ball and change-up to attack hitters in different ways. As the secondary pitches continue to sharpen, his pitchability gives him a strong foundation moving forward.

Jaylen Witherspoon — OF — West Forsyth HS (2027)

Witherspoon is an athletic outfielder with speed and defensive range. He covers ground easily in the outfield and shows the ability to impact the game with his legs. At the plate, the offensive profile is built around athleticism and contact, with room for added strength as he matures.

Harrison Mears — C/UTIL — South Brunswick HS (2027)

Mears offers a versatile defensive skill set with experience both behind the plate and around the field. He shows solid receiving skills and a quick release as a catcher, while the bat plays with a compact stroke geared toward consistent contact. His flexibility enhances his overall profile.

Brady Holmes — SS — Person HS (2027)

Holmes is an athletic shortstop with smooth actions and natural rhythm on the dirt. He shows reliable hands, fluid footwork, and the ability to complete plays from multiple arm slots. Offensively, the approach is contact-oriented with developing strength.

Carter Rowe — MIF — Gaston Christian (2027)
