Draft League Spotlight: Joseph Miceli

Miceli’s stock has picked up this spring behind the second-year freshman’s strong start for Bergen in the Garden State Athletic Conference. He struck out 11 in six scoreless innings against Brooksdale CC (April 3) in his season debut, then punched out 12 in six innings against Camden (April 18) two starts later. The 6-foot-, 170-pound UNC commit has good feel for both his fastball and secondaries, with reports of the right-hander’s heater reaching 95-96 mph.
