Utah commit and Team Canada JNT member, Hammill is a switch-hitting middle infielder with a sturdy, strong base at 5-foot-11, 200-pounds. He’s a versatile defender and a high motor type player who does a lot of things well on both sides of the ball. On the base paths he’s an aggressive runner with an IQ above his age. In the box he shows a line drive oriented approach with mature presence. He has strong, quick hands with good plate discipline and pitch recognition. Mostly he will spray the ball from pole to pole from both sides with some sneaky power.
