Height/Weight: 5-foot-11, 210 pounds
School: St. Michaels College School
Evaluation: Good size frame with current strength, Angelo has been a catcher who recently has started to take more reps than usual off the mound. Not to lose focus on his catching talents, but with the type of arms strength and speed that Angelo shows, any pitching coach would want to see what the 2015 grad has to offer. Behind the plate, Angelo is a strong catch and throw guy, sporting a pop time of 2.00 and 78 mph at our first PBR event last October. At the plate, Angelo’s has some strength in his swing with more power to his pull side. Off the mound he topped out at 83 mph but has been up to 85 mph. Off speed showed signs but lacked reps and innings. Is a tireless worker, interested to see where Angelo will be this March in Florida off the mound and behind the dish.
