Matt Mulvihill is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound LHP/1B from Chartiers Valley HS. He was an All-Section selection and a member of the WPEBL All-Star Team in 2012. Mulvihill controls his frame extremely well. The big lefty has repeatable mechanics and throws out of a high ¾ arm slot. Mulvihill topped out at 80 mph with good arm side run to his fastball at the PA Unsigned Senior Showcase in November. He displayed a 67 mph curveball with tight rotation and good location. Mulvihill’s changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed, with arm side run and downward movement. With command of all three pitches, and the potential to add significant velocity, Mulvihill is a quality left-handed pitcher that should not remain uncommitted much longer.
