Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 3 of the 2025 spring season. 

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Michael Teasley 3B / RHP / Oak Ridge High School, TN / 2026 The Tennessee commit batted .562 on the week that included 2 RBls, 2 HR’s, 3 SB, and 9 runs scored. Teasley would also throw a complete game shutout with 11K’s, scattering 2 hits in 7 innings.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Baylan Tuten LHP / OF / Tullahoma , TN / 2025 Has gotten off to an impressive senior campaign and carried it over in his win against a district opponent where he fired his first No-Hitter on the season, finishing with 15 K’s with 1 BB over 7 innings. Fastball held life in the mid to upper 80’s from the left-side with a three pitch mix.
