We hope everyone has had enjoyed the holiday season. We’re a little less than five weeks away from the 2015 Super 60 and will begin previewing the event soon. In the meantime, here are a couple questions from readers…

What makes a true 5-tool high school player?
A five-tool player is someone that grades out as average or better on the 20-to-80 scouting scale in all five categories: hitting, hitting for power, running, fielding and arm strength. These players are hard to come by in the big leagues so seeing a true five-tool player in high school is extremely rare. It’s also an argument of semantics. For me, a true five-tool player is someone that currently shows that ability, which you won’t find in high school. There are high school prospects that may have the potential to be five-tool players, but even that's difficult and risky to project.
