TN Day Report: Monday

On Monday, we traveled to a couple games in the western part of the state, staying for 5 innings of the Trinity Christian Academy vs. Peabody game and then getting to the Dyersburg vs South Gibson game in the 3rd inning. This was the first truly spring day I’ve experienced, as weather was in the 60’s. Read below for standouts and check out the Twitter feed for video highlights:

FB (84-86, T87), CB (68-72), SL (74-77), CH (79-81) - 4.2 IP, 1 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 0 K Right hander shows ability to pound the zone w/ FB’s. Tall, athletic build w/ lean strength, projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into L ¾ release. Varies timing of delivery. Glove tapper before entering arm circle. Straight FB relies on angle for weak contact. Medium downer CB comes up out of hand w/ above average depth. SL is go to breaking ball, ¾ tilt w/ average depth, early breaker. CH w/ arm-speed, occasional sink. Around the zone w/ FB’s, misses tend to be to his arm-side, resulting in hit batters. Developing control of secondary stuff. |
