On Wednesday, Team Tennessee battled the Memphis Chicks at the University of Tennessee to get ready for the Sunbelt Games.  At this stage of the calendar, with 2018 rankings complete, we will not be writing up committed 2018’s (we will still write up uncommitted 18’s w/ video on their profiles) unless it is Scouting Director Tim Kay’s first live look at them in the calendar year.  This was a warm, sunny day.  For a look at standouts, read below:

TY WARMATH / RHP / 2B / COVINGTON, TN / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 36 / POS: 12 FB (85-87, T88), SL (71-74), CH (79-80) -       1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K Memphis commit showed improved velocity since we saw him in February.  Showed ability to fill the zone from low ¾ slot.  Ball jumps out of his hand.  Similar to last look, both off-speed pitches flashed above average in tight ¾ tilt SL and CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink.  Generated 2 swing and misses on 6 swings.
