Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 6.

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ben Timblin OF / RHP / Signal Mountain , TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 46 / POS: 10 Timblin had a very strong week at the plate for Signal Mountain where he hit .667 with 2 doubles and 6 HR's. Facing district rival Cleveland, Timblin had two 2 HR's, as well as 2 HR's vs Red Bank. For the season, Timblin is Hitting .557 with 11 doubles and 11 HR's.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Aiden Reels RHP / Pickett Co High School, TN / 2025 Reels jumped on our radar this week after an impressive showing in two different games on the bump. 1 st game of the week, Reels helped clinch Pickett County's runner-up spot in district 7A with a one hit performance against Clay County. Then Friday night, he no-hit Sunbright. For the week, he would go 13 innings gathering 2 wins in the process with 1 hit given up, 16 strikeouts to just 3 walks.
