North Lincoln 7 Maiden 3

Game Recap:
A matchup between two solid teams, North Lincoln came out on top with a solid pitching performance from Seth Whitley and capitalizing on Maiden's mistakes with big hits.  North Lincoln took the matchup 7-3. 

Whitley, a 6-foot-3, 2021 RHP sawed off hitters all night, dominating with his fastball.  For most of the night, he was able to tie up the Maiden hitters, pounding the inner half of the plate.  Whitley was staked to a 5-0 lead after 3 innings of play.

Maiden did not go quietly though, cutting the lead to 7-3 and forcing North Lincoln to turn to their closer, Jake Soorus.  Soorus retired the final hitter with the tying run on deck.
