Hiltz has a lean, athletic build at 6-foot-1 165-pounds. Fastball topped at 81 MPH and sat mostly 79-81. Flashed a curveball with smaller 1/7 break at 68-70 and a changeup with armside fade at 71-72. Slow, methodical start to his delivery into a tall balance point. Uphill shoulders going down the mound help him create leverage down in the strikezone. High-3/4 slot with a long, clean arm action. Strong landing leg. Lead foot lands square and creates extension on release. Projectable frame with repeatable, effortless mechanics.
