Western PA Top Prospect Games Spotlight: 2020 RHP/SS Marcus Danchision

The Western PA Top Prospect Games annually showcases roughly 70 top uncommitted prospects across the state and from a few surrounding states. 2019 marks the 8th year for this event with hundreds of former participants having gone on to college commitments and to professional baseball.
As we draw closer to June we will be periodically highlighting some of the prospects scheduled to participate. Today we continue our preview with a look at 2021 RHP/SS Marcus Danchision. The two-way prospect hit .360 this spring with nine doubles and two triples. He also struck out 56 batters in 42.2 innings of work while recording a 2.79 ERA.

Scouting Report
6-foot-2, 165-pound primary right-handed pitcher sat 75-80 mph from a high 3/4 arm-slot while utilizing a high knee lift to generate leg-drive. Displayed 11/5 rotation on his 66-70 mph curveball. Demonstrated feel for a 67-70 mph changeup that featured slight sink and good sell. The right-handed hitter starts with an open stance and uses a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Registered an 83 mph bat-exit velocity with a flat bat-path to the baseball during batting practice. Showcased soft hands and active feet to record accurate 76 mph throws across the infield. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash flashing athleticism in his frame.
