Despite being just two years apart, Stephen and Mikey Polansky have never played on the same team. When Mikey—a 2017 corner infielder—started Tee Ball, Stephen—a 2015 catcher—moved up to coach pitch. When travel ball started, they were always on separate teams. But they still worked together and motivated each other through the years. In 2014, they finally ended up on the same team and got to celebrate together as Hickory HS, VA, won a state championship with Stephen behind the plate and Mikey at the hot corner.
