Stanke’s sophomore campaign was wiped out after just 18 games, but the Gophers backstop did recoup some of that time in the Northwoods League, hitting .310 in 26 games with the Willmar Stingers. After struggling to show that level of production during his first two college seasons, the left-handed-hitting backstop has done so more consistently in ‘21. Scouts believe there could be some more power left to unlock in his bat.
