The state of Michigan is filled with high-level baseball prospects throughout each corner of the state. Calvin Starnes RHP / OF / Coloma, MI / 2018 Rankings  StateRank: 39 / POS: 13 COLOMA - There is more than writing your name down on a letter-of-intent that takes place during the current signing period. For some, like Calvin Starnes, there was still a matter of deciding on a college. The Coloma High School senior did that on Thursday night, committing to Grand Valley State University. The 39th-ranked player in the state will make it official by signing with the Lakers on Monday. “I like the coaching staff, they run the program with a lot of class,” explained the hard-throwing right-handed pitcher.
