With the 2025 Junior Future Games behind us, our staff is taking a look at all of the names from the Team New Jersey roster, and highlighting their performances at the event.

Team New Jersey finished the week 2-1. We've already released a statistical analysis story from the event. Within this Takeaways piece, our staff made mention of each player's workout day, along with their in-game performance.

New Jersey Takeaways

+ OF/RHP Jordan Vesey (St. Peter’s Prep, 2029)
Tall, lanky 6-foot-3 177-pounds. Projectable. Mature at bats all weekend long including the walk-off RBI in game 3. Tossed a solid inning on the mound, too. In the showcase, threw 80 mph from the outfield, ran a 7.10 60-yard time. In his round of BP, peaked at 93 mph EV.

+ SS Luke Sawicki (Cranford, 2029)
One of the most athletic players on the team. LHH, strong, athletic frame with a sweet looking stroke. Barrel a few throughout the weekend and stood out with actions on the field. nIn the showcase, Sawicki peaked at 90.5 mph and flashed some bat speed with an avg. of 68 mph. On the infield, tossed 79 across the diamond.

+ C Drew Gable (Cherokee, 2029)
Physically, the strongest of the bunch, standing 6-foot, 209-pounds, Gable packed a strong punch at the plate, nearly missing a towering home run in the Game 2 rout over Maryland. Compact, fast barrel through the zone. In the showcase, flashed a 1.95-2.07 pop time and threw 75 mph from the chute. In BP, had a max EV of 94 mph, max distance of 373’, and a avg. bat speed of 71 mph.

+ SS Chase Hallett (Pennington School, 2029)
Probably the most complete player of the bunch right now. Present strength to frame, twitchy actions in the field, barrel accuracy at the plate. Even with outs he made, they were hit hard. Looked to do damage in every at bat. Ran a 6.82 60-yard dash in the showcase. In his BP round, peaked at 94 mph EV with a max distance of 357’.

+ OF/LHP Nick Stangota (Notre Dame, 2029)
Stangota is a table-setter type of player. LHH, knack for the barrel, gets on base, and impacts the game on the basepaths with his speed. Really liked his motor throughout the event. Throughout the showcase, Stangota threw 78 mph from the outfield, had a max EV of 87 mph, and ran a 6.98 60-yard dash.

+ OF/RHP Nick Mandio (St. Joseph Montvale, 2029)
Don’t be surprised that in a couple years we look back at this roster and Mandio ends up being one of the best players we had on the roster. Still adding strength to frame, but fill out the box well, lift to swing on the finish. On the mound it's a long, loose arm action with some late life through the zone with the fastball. Mandio had a max EV of 84 mph, and worked his fastball up to 81 mph.

+ LHP/RHP/OF Cayden Meccage (Pennington School, 2029)
Meccage was really impressive on the mound from the left side to start game two, but he switched it over to the right side in his final frame and it seemed like everyone watching was in awe. Meccage. Still adding strength to his frame but expect velocity to continue to climb. Was up to 81 mph in gameplay.

+ LHP/OF Stefano Rizio (Montclair Kimberley, 2029)
Upper 70s and low 80s when we saw him earlier in the summer, Rizio paced game one for us on the mound and kept us in the game from the jump. Strike thrower with good tempo.

+ MIF Lucas Funk (Red Bank Catholic, 2029)
Athletic, strong middle infielder with some pop to his bat. Really impressed during the workout with a gap to gap round of BP and EVs up to 92 mph while averaging 84 mph with a max distance of 348”. Ran into some hard luck in game play but was on the barrel consistently

+ 3B/RHP Max Webber (Seton Hall Prep, 2029)
Projectable 6-foot-2 191-pounds, Weber had solid showings at the plate and on the mound. He’s still growing into his frame but expect Weber to really impact the ball at the plate as he gets stronger. Exit velocity was up to 91 mph in BP and worked his fastball up to 82 mph on the mound.
