2026 Addison Bulldogs Team Preview

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Alabama.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the Jacksonville/Oxford/Montgomery area at the AISA or AHSAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Alabama. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each AHSAA classification.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each AHSAA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

Addison enters the 2026 season coming off a historic 27-11 campaign that ended with a Final Four appearance, just the second in school history (1995, 2025). That postseason run reinforced the Bulldogs’ place among the top programs in Class 1A, and with key pieces returning, particularly on the mound, Addison heads into the spring with clear expectations of competing for championships once again.

The Bulldogs return a core group of experienced players who will anchor both the lineup and pitching staff. 3B/RHP Stone Talley (2026) returns as a primary two-way contributor, joined by RHP/1B Kiah Lake (2026), who is expected to log significant innings on the mound while also contributing at first base. SS/RHP Tucker Thompson (2026) adds another experienced arm and provides stability up the middle, while C Jaxson Williams (2026) returns behind the plate after gaining valuable varsity experience. C/UTL Conner Lane (2028) brings additional versatility and depth across the field. The underclass group continues to strengthen the roster. OF/LHP Caanan Speegle (2028) returns as a left-handed option who factors into both the pitching staff and outfield, while UTL Scout Flynn (2028) adds depth and flexibility as the season progresses.

Pitching and experience define Addison’s identity entering 2026. With multiple returning arms who played key roles during last year’s Final Four run, the Bulldogs are positioned to handle the demands of another postseason push. As head coach Lee Williams noted, “We are a team coming off a Final Four run and with the players to make another run at it again. Our goals are to win our county and area championships and set ourselves up to make a deep run in the playoffs.” With championship expectations and a proven core returning, Addison enters the 2026 season focused on sustaining its success and competing deep into the postseason in Class 1A.
