Allen has an athletic frame that projects well. The bat really plays, as he shows a wide stance with a simple toe-tap set-up, which allows the barrel to be on time in the zone. He shows efficient bat speed for a player his age with some ability to hit for extra bases, hammering balls to his pull-side gap during BP. He stays through contact with solid extension in his swing.
