Top Profiles of 2020: No. 17 Cameron Keshock
December 17, 2020
Continuing with our countdown of the Top Profiles in 2020, '22 RHP Cameron Keshock (Spanish Fort HS) comes in at No. 17. In our last look at Keshock at the PBR at The Hank, he put up some impressive numbers on the mound.
After creating some serious buzz over the last two years, Keshock ultimately committed to Auburn University this spring. Standing at approximately 6-foot-6, 215 pounds, the right-handed hurler has shown the ability to run his fastball into the upper-80's on the mound. The breaking ball, however, is the great equalizer. At the event in Mobile this fall, the pitch showed some definite swing-&-miss to it against hitters, allowing the fastball to play up even more.

Advanced on the mound, using a loose arm action he showed electric arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Showed athletic balance point. Lands soft. Sat with his fastball at 84-86 mph with a max of 87 mph; had very consistent command and running action. Had glove side command and late action on his 12/6 curveball (72-74). His changeup (73-73) showed early action and arm side command. The frame and advanced pitchability show high projection for the recent Auburn commit.
Keshock, who is a physical 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, has really exploded on the scene lately. He has clean, easy mechanics and will continue to add more velocity as he incorporates his lower half more. The fastball already sits in the high 80s with some sink and arm-side run. He shows confidence in his secondary stuff—a breaking ball with 11/5 action, tight spin and late bite, as well as a changeup with deception and tumble.
