Usually when a player without varsity experience makes a verbal commitment, the only reason they’re lacking in that area is because they are rising freshman or sophomore. RHP Bo Weiss (Regis Jesuit HS, CO) hasn’t thrown a pitch for the varsity team yet, but he just started his junior year. Don’t let that fool you. He verbally committed to North Carolina last week and there is a perfectly good reason why he remained on JV as a sophomore.
