The 2016 Overall Rankings were updated this week with plenty of notable changes. Below are some prospects that climbed the rankings, along with some others that joined as a couple new states in Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area were added into the mix.
RISERS
Ian Anderson, RHP, Shenendehowa HS, NY
The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Vanderbilt recruit has an extremely athletic and projectable frame, one that should continue to develop in the coming years. His arm is athletic, clean and easy, working from a high-3/4 slot. He had a strong outing at the World Wood Bat Championship in October, pitching in relief for the Syracuse Sports Zone. Anderson sat at 90 mph with late arm-side finish through the zone. His 77-78 mph slider looks to be a premier offering, as it shows consistent late two-plane break. With his natural athleticism and fluid arm, it appears Anderson has only scratched the surface of his potential.
