There have been several preseason events held in the last few weeks and many players stood out in advance of their high school seasons starting. We’re taking the next few weeks to look at some of those players. We’ve highlighted winter standouts from the senior and junior classes. Next up, we have standout sophomores.

Benjamin Adams, LHP/OF, Longfield-Davidson Heights HS, ON
Adams has an athletic build at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. He moves well on the mound with a quick arm out of a 3/4 slot. The fastball sits 82-84 mph with good life out of the hand. He has feel for his secondary, including a curveball with rotation and downward action at 68-72. He also plays the outfield and shows a raw swing with present strength.
