Last week, we sat on mostly Tennessee games from the Perfect Game 15U WWBA in Georgia. Our focus was mainly on Tennessee players (and we set our schedules accordingly), but players from other states stood out. These write-ups are sorted by state and we got video on players from out of state if it did not negatively impact our ability to get video on Tennessee players. CHASE ROBERTS / C / RHP / EAST HAMILTON , TN / 2021FB (83-86, T87), CB (71), CH (72-74) Righty had a dynamic outing, spread out over 2 days due to rain. 6-1, 165-pounder features a medium, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength. Projectable. Pitches from a full wind-up into ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. High effort throw. Understands how to use his body to generate velocity. Glove side can be stronger, just along for the ride. Straight FB shows occasional short arm-side run. Tight medium downer CB w/ proper shape and rotation. Flashes late bite, put-away pitch. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and sink. Flashes late life in the zone. Around the zone with his 3-pitch mix, shows confidence throwing a 3-2 CB. |
