Draft League Spotlight: Hunter Caudelle
May 21, 2021
Player: Hunter Caudelle
Position: RHP
School: Georgia Gwinnett
Caudelle has been dominant coming out of Georgia Gwinnett’s bullpen after Tommy John surgery and the pandemic effectively wiped out his 2020 campaign. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound right-hander sports a 0.68 ERA with four saves in 11 appearances this season, during which he’s racked up 26 strikeouts in 13.1 innings (17.6 K/9). He’s pitched comfortably at 90-93 mph this spring, though his large frame and injury history suggest there could be more velocity to come.
