The annual Invite Only Preseason All-State Showcase for the top 2021 prospects is coming up Saturday February 29th at Roundtripper Sports Academy in Westfield, IN. Leading up to the event we will highlight some of the top prospects to be in attendance. 

Scouting Report

12/14/19: 6-foot, 165-pound  lean, athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 95 mph. Starts in an athletic open stance with a wrapping load, toe tap timing trigger. Has electric bat speed, as well as a level swing path and extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact during his round. Pull side approach. In the outfield, his best throws to the outfield topped out at 83 mph; has a clean exchange, sure hands and athletic footwork. Arm action was long. He displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.81. 

 

6/04/19: 6-foot, 160-pound OF with a sub-seven 60 time at 6.96. Balanced stance at the plate, starts with flat bat to stay in the zone longer. Quick hands that will create power if he stays balanced through swing; 90 mph exit velocity. Athletic movements in OF. 76 mph position velocity; arm strength will improve if he continues to use entire body and stay on top of the ball. Tools are present and should become more apparent with experience. 

 

6/27/17: 5-foot-8, 135 pounds, ran a 7.77-60.  Offensively, hits from a slightly open setup. Smooth load, leg kick timing trigger.  Average lower half and balance.  Showcased some bat speed with a level path.  Rhythm is choppy.  In the OF showcased a clean exchange.  Tendency to play on his heels, hands are stiff.  In the INF the exchange was clean with average glove work.  Overall raw actions defensively.  PITCHING: pitches from a long, high 3/4 arm action.  Average balance and regular effort in the delivery.  Shows some rhythm with level shoulders.  Stays in line, lands square.  Fastball is straight at 68-69, T70.  Breaking ball currently lacks identity.  CH was thrown with near fastball arm speed and a stiff wrist.  Occasional fade, left up in the zone.
