As we close the door on 2021 and head into 2022, PBR KS takes a look at the top 10 most viewed profiles of the year. We are able to drill down into the data and track the number of reads thanks to Google Analytics. As we usually see, the list is dominated by some of the top performers and players who have made commitments this year. 

Cooper Kelly has continue to climb the state and national rankings throughout his career as an elite defender and team leader. The 2021 SS is committed to KU and helped lead BVSW to a state championship this year.

Positional Profile: SS

Body: 6-foot-1, 185-pound well-built and athletic frame. 

Hit: SWITCH.  At the plate starts with an athletic posture from both sides of the plate and utilizes a short two tap stride with good rhythm.  Likes to play the ball deeper in the zone and has a short bat path with very quick hands.  Gets good extension through the ball and is showing some present strength at contact.  Explosive bat speed from both sides of the plate.  Level bat path and does a good job of matching plane.

Power:  92 mph exit velocity from the tee. 

Arm: RH.  INF-86 mph.  High ¾ arm slot with a very quick hand and loose arm action. 

Defense: In the infield maintains good athletic position throughout the fielding process.  Very clean feet and routes to the ball.  Exchanges are clean and quick.  Showcases good lateral movement and ability to cover ground.  Good feel for the control of the body and also has very soft hands.  Projects to stay in the middle of the diamond at the next level.  Very good overall defender.

Run: 4.08 runner from home to first.

Positional Profile: SS A switch-hitter with feel from both sides of the plate, able to stick up the middle defensively. A high-follow in his class.
Body: 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Athletic, wiry, well-proportioned build; more maturity to come.
Defense: Athletic fielding position, fields with a confident rhythm, fluid footwork, silky smooth hands, clean funnels leading to quick release, advanced defender that can stick up the middle.
Arm: RH.  INF - 85 mph.  Short, loose arm action, high 3/4 slot, lively arm.
Hit: SH. Well balanced setup, smooth load from both sides of the plate, leg kick trigger, short stride.  Loose hands, short, level path through the zone to contact, steady line drive approach to all fields, more juice from the left side, rhythm through contact.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity from the tee. Easily finds the barrel.
Run: 7.45 runner in the 60.
