Player Spotlight: 2B Brody Hanna (Maize South, 2018)

Brody Hanna (Maize South, 2018) helped Maize South to a state championship last spring and is currently finishing up fall baseball. Here is a look inside the recruiting process for Brody Hanna.
PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
Hanna: I am looking for a school that would help me achieve a degree in Sports Management while playing baseball. I am also looking for a school that will make me a better baseball player and help me achieve my end goal of playing D1 baseball.
PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?
Hanna: My junior year was my second season starting as the second baseman for Maize South High School. My batting average was .382 with 6 doubles, 4 triples, 1 home run, 23 RBIs, .605 SLG and .417 OBP. I was awarded the honors of 2nd team all state 2nd baseman and 1st team all conference 2nd baseman and we won the 4A D1 state championship.
PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?
Hanna: To win another state championship and work hard to be awarded 1st team all state and all league.
PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?
Hanna: Yes, I am currently playing with the Kansas Curve . We are finishing up with fall ball, but will be practicing through the winter. Previously I played three years with 316 Elite and we qualified to play in the NBC tournament last summer.
PBR: Do you play any other sports?
Hanna: I also play high school soccer.
PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?
Hanna: My GPA is currently 3.4, and my last ACT score was a 20.
