Scouting Report

1/12/20

6-foot-4, 156-pound RHP. Upside is off the charts as he fills out his long, lanky frame. Generates easy velocity and has shown a 6 mph increase since June 2019. Good command of three-pitch mix. Uptempo delivery with medium arm action through higher-3/4 slot. Fastball mostly straight at 75-77, touched 78. Has feel for 65-68 mph curveball with 11/5 action, also has feel for a 73-74 mph changeup that needs more velocity difference off the fastball to be most effective but displays sink and fade through the zone.
Moss pitched extremely well against a very good North Carolina 13U squad at the PBR Junior Future Games. If he continues on his current trajectory, he is a high-level arm with the potential to be one of the best the 2024 class has to offer.

At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 79 mph. Began in a balanced stance
with a quick load, then used a long stride to initiate his swing. Displays a flat swing plane
and high finish. Barreled up some balls during the round. Up the middle approach. In the
infield, showed an ability to throw across the field at 79 mph; had firm hands and a quick
exchange. Laterally, his movements were athletic and used his glovework out front. Had a
short arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.77.
