With the recent release of our Updated Class of 2020 State Rankings, our scouting staff took a deeper dive into the prospects in the 2020 class. By position, we will comb through the list, highlighting some of the top talent in each class, and today we begin with catchers.

The recently updated rankings features a total of 24 catchers, with nine of the 24 currently committed to play in college, including all six ranked in the top 55.

Leading the way is Louisiana Monroe recruit Matthew Lee of Catholic (BR) who checks in at No. 38 in the updated list. Two players in the top five that aren't listed below are Lyon College recruit Logan Doody (Northshore HS) at No. 39 and Mississippi College recruit Derrek Lathon Jr. at No. 53.
