Scouting Report
The former Little League World Series standout has gotten off to a great start for the Crusaders this spring, so we were excited to see him in action last Thursday night against Acadiana. Roussel went hitless on the night, but had a couple of QAB's that included a walk and a missle that he hit into a stiff wind to RCF that was caught on the warning track at Field 40 at McMurray Park.

Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-10, 165-pounds. Athletic
Hit: LHH
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 80.1 mph. 312' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-78 mph. Long arm stroke with a 3/4 release
Defense: Catches the ball off his left foot with one hand out front into his crow hop, plays through it athletically, average arm strength from the OF
ATH: 7.31 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: 2B/OF
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Athletic
Hits: LHH. Starts in a tall and upright stance with hands held above shoulder height, uses a leg kick load and stride Loose hands and good barrel whip, direct path to contact with uphill extension, worked mostly to the pull-side, collected a couple of hits during gameplay as well.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 81.9 MPH. 303' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-74 mph.OF-77 mph. Short arm action, over the top release
Defense: Showed athletic actions on the infield, moved ok to left and right, likely profiles as a 2B. Attacked the ball under control in the OF, played through everything athletically.
