POSITION PLAYERS

Class of 2025

+ OF Trevor Vande Hey (Wrightstown, 2025; Iowa commit) proved again why he is one of the top players in the state of Wisconsin for the 2025 class. This updated look at the tooled up prospect was tremendous in terms of both how athletic his frame looked and in terms of his eye-popping metrics. The 6-foot, 208 pound senior outfielder started off his day by running one of the best 60 yard dash times of the event at 6.72 seconds and jumped one of the best vertical jump marks of the event at 27 inches. His outfield defensive look remains special with how easy the ball jumps out of his hand at 92 mph which was the best outfield velocity of the day. Vande Hey then took the option to hit using a wood bat and the ball was coming off extremely loud with a max exit velocity of 102 mph (94 mph avg.) and he launched a ball 373 feet. He did a tremendous job of controlling his barrel through the baseball and creating backspin throughout his round and it’s something we’ve grown accustomed to seeing. Vande Hey’s overall athleticism provides such a high ceiling for the University of Iowa commit that it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he gets some draft buzz this coming July.

+ C Marek Wawrzyniakowski (Catholic Memorial, 2025; UW-Stevens Point) made a nice statement with his performance on Saturday both with the glove and with the bat. The senior UW-Stevens Point commit measured at 5-foot-11, 192 pounds with an athletic build and strength throughout. Wawrzyniakowski really impressed with his catcher defense. His 1.94 seconds pop time was an event best and he was consistently putting the ball on the bag from a quick release. With the bat, the right-handed hitter was hitting rockets to all fields and registered an impressive 99 mph max exit velocity with a 92 mph average. Marek Wawrzyniakowski is ready to lead Catholic Memorial’s talented group from behind the plate in his senior year and our staff will be sure to keep a close eye on his performance.

It was a notable effort from Hoff on Saturday and our staff will monitor his performance and development going forward.

Manchester started his day by running one of the top 60 yard dash times of the event at 6.90 seconds which is down from the 7.07 seconds 60 yard dash time we viewed at the Eau Claire Pre Season ID a couple of weeks ago. Loker was measured at 5-foot-11, 159 pounds last July at the Future Games at Lakepoint. He came into this event showing a bit more size and measured in at 6-foot-1, 164 pounds. The right-hander threw an extremely loud pen that displayed a quality three pitch mix with his fastball, curveball and change up. His fastball topped out at 91 mph with downhill angle through the zone to all four quadrants. The fastball set up a nasty late breaking two-plane curveball at 74 mph that he can land in the zone and expand below. His change up pairs well with the fastball out of the same tunnel as the heater and displayed late fade through the hitting zone. Loker, also showcased athleticism with a 7.15 seconds 60 yard dash and smooth actions up the middle on defense in his work as a position player. It shouldn’t be overlooked that Reuland also had a nice day working out as a position player. He produced line drive contact throughout his round with a max exit velocity of 93 mph which is a solid number for the sophomore two-way talent.
