2027 Player Rankings Spotlight: OF Deuce Jenkins

The Prep Baseball staff recently released its Class of 2027 Rankings at both the state level and nationally for the first time. Today our staff begins to take a look at some of the prospects from the Magnolia State who find themselves ranked inside the top-10 at the state level and in the national rankings release.

Deuce Jenkins, Northwest Rankin (MS), 2027
Positional Profile: OF/1B
Body: 5-10, 211-pounds. Stocky-like, athletic body. Physical, present strength throughout.
Hit: LHH. Conventional stance, slightly open with normal hand set. Small load and stride with quick hands and loft. Attacks out front with big time power. Middle to pull side approach. 71.4 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 max exit velocity, averaged 83.9 mph. 369' max distance.
Arm: LH. OF-78 mph. Shorter and some quickness to arm action.
Defense: Solid look on the outfield. Good footwork. Fields ball to the glove side. Developing arm.
ATH: 7.45 runner in the 60. 20.70 max vertical.
