Mizuno Player & Pitcher of the Week: Week 3

Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Adam Smith / Houston, MS / 2025The Holmes CC recruit had a strong week at the plate for Houston HS. Smith was 12-for-16 (.750 avg) with six doubles, six runs batted in and also swiped six bags on the week out of the leadoff spot for the Hilltoppers offense earning Player of the Week for Week 3 of the 2025 spring season. |
MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Wyatt Pyron 3B / RHP / Biloxi, MS / 2025Pyron, an uncommitted arm at Biloxi HS was dominant in his outing this past week against a very talented Petal squad. Pyron logged six innings of work on the mound, allowed just one hit, zero runs and tallied a total of 16 punchouts, earning Pitcher of the Week honors for Week 3. |
