Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 4 of the 2025 spring season. 

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Parker Helton OF / Picayune, MS / 2025 The uncommited senior had an outstanding week collecting 9 hits in 11 at bats which included 2 triples, a double, and 7 runs scored out of the 2 hole for the Maroon Tide. Helton is currently hitting .528 through Picayune's first 11 games.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Jarvis Woody RHP / SS / Ridgeland, MS / 2025 The former Future Gamer and Pearl River CC signee threw a gem over the Brandon Bulldogs allowing no hits, no runs, with 9 strikeouts. Woody has worked 17 innings on the season, allowing just 4 runs with 23 strikeouts.
