From MON 05.01.23 | Apex Friendship jumped all over higher seed Apex HS in the first round of the SW Wake 4A conference tournament. The leadoff batter for Apex singled and scored two batters later, but then Apex Friendship's starting pitcher, Luke Hemric, slammed the door shut. Hemric struck out 9 batters in five innings on a variety of fastballs, change ups, and curve balls. He allowed only two singles over the last four innings. Hemric gave up only four hits, one walk, and finished the game with his ninth strike out.
