Corinth Holders – 3         Holly Springs -- 5

Holly Springs hosted Corinth Holders in game 2 of the 4A East Regional Final. Facing elimination, the home team started 2019 NC State commit Matt Willadsen on the mound.  Corinth Holders looked to advance to the Championship Series, where West Region winner Mooresville HS is waiting. 

Tanner Smith led off the game with a single to CF to start the game. Ty Cummings reached when Willadsen mishandled a bunt attempt, putting runners on 1^st and 2^nd  with no outs. Each runner advanced on a ground ball where Willadsen balked in the 1^st run for Corinth Holders. After recording a big strikeout, back to back defensive miscues allowed the Pirates to tack on 2 more, extending their 1^st inning lead to 3-0.
