6th Inning Double Leads Sun Valley Win

Game Recap:
Much of the night was dominated by the starting pitchers, Matt Schepel (SVHS) and Anthony Casciola (WHS). Schepel, a 2021 RHP, allowed no earned runs over five frames, while Casciola, a 2019 RHP went the distance and struck out seven.

A couple of miscues resulted in early unearned runs and a 2-2 tie going into he sixth. Sun Valley's 2021 3B Greg Bello doubled with one out in the bottom of the sixth, then scored on a two-out single by senior DH Alex Scott to put the Spartans up late.

The Spartans called on 2020 Ryan Onson to close out the game, and the righty got three straight outs, including two strikeouts, to end a late rally bid and cap off the win for Sun Valley.
