East Surry was lifted to victory behind an electric performance on the hill from Folger Boaz (2023 LHP, UNC commit) and a clutch day at the plate from 2023 CF Brett Clayton. East Rutherford's Avery Strange (uncommitted 2023 RHP) kept the Cavaliers close, working out of the Cardinals' threats for 6 innings with a tantalizing three-pitch mix. Ultimately, Clayton's 2nd RBI on a backside single lifted East Surry to victory in the third round matchup.
