A two run third inning would be all Holly Springs RHP Matt Willadsen would need as he worked a complete game two hitter in the conference win over Middle Creek.  Willadsen struck out 12 and did not issue any walks. 

In the third, back to back walks came back to haunt Middle Creek.  With two outs, the runners were advanced to second and third.  Willadsen then helped his own cause with a chopper up the middle, scoring Bryan Arendt and Sam Kulasingam.

Willadsen faced 23 hitters in the 7 inning outing, throwing 80 pitches.  He attacked the strike zone with a four pitch mix featuring two different breaking balls that kept the Middle Creek hitters at bay.  The win moved Holly Springs to 8-3 overall and 5-1 in conference.  Middle Creek dropped to 7-4 and 4-2 in conference.
